The cobblestone streets of San Miguel de Allende make skating a very difficult task for the city's skaters, so they have to get creative and go to other places like parks to be able to practice the activity on wheels that they enjoy so much and they are not going to let a few (or many) stones get in their way.

After 5 years of absence and returning to San Miguel, the first thing Marisol did was walk the streets in search of more people who, like her, loved skating. Although her venture was successful, her surprise was enormous when she discovered that there was only a group of boys and that she was the only woman.
Feeling nostalgic for having fellow skaters like in other places, she decided to invite her friends to skate, initially lending them her own equipment. Over time, the other girls discovered how fun and sisterly skating is and they themselves bought the necessary equipment to skate.

So, seeing how much fun their friends were having, many other girls dusted off their old roller skates and joined in this wild dance, giving birth to the first San Miguel women's team in this fun discipline.
And despite having grown so much and increasing its number to almost 20 members, there is still a dream for the skaters to fulfill: To have their own skatepark to put the name of San Miguel on high and welcome the community on wheels with worthy ramps.

The girls' initiative was such that they themselves created a crowdfunding campaign to create their own wooden ramp, named the famous “La Quiebra Manos” (Hands Quit), with an investment of approximately $10,000.
However, in order to make their dream of a skatepark come true, they need everyone's help by attending their next event on November 25th for the presentation of their short film. San Miguel Skate House where they will raise funds and signatures to be able to form themselves as a civil association and consequently be able to found a skate school for girls and petition the Municipal President for his support to create this long-awaited urban construction.

Beyond a discipline, what SMASH Its aim is to break down the gender gap that dictates that only men have the right to skate and to encourage any young person who has not yet found the opportunity or the right ramp to unleash their energy on wheels in a kind of hypnotic vertigo that generates a community that moves forward with full speed on wheels.
