LOCAL CONNECT # 16 CHEF ALEJANDRO RUIZ's cruelty-free cuisine

Do you remember the scenes from “Like Water for Chocolate” where Tita, through her talent in the kitchen, manages to transmit her feelings to the diners? When she cries on the cake batter and made everyone burst into tears when tasting the dessert, when she spilled her blood on another dish and caused her sister to feel the burning of love when tasting her culinary creation… Likewise, Chef Alejandro Ruiz believes that feelings can be transferred to food with the intention we put into cooking.

This is why the Chef prioritizes that the kitchen have a positive environment where everything is prepared from Krishna consciousness and constantly ensuring that negativity stays out of the area where food is prepared.

Soltribe Cuisine It emerged in Colorado, United States as a nomadic project with the purpose of bringing conscious food to important festivals such as Burning Man.

Now that it is also established as a restaurant in San Miguel de AllendeDon't miss the opportunity to visit this space, which, in addition to being full of delicious options for responsible and 100% plant-based cuisine, also has a spectacular atmosphere.

Chef Ruiz's mission is to show the world how to free animals from your plate based on compassion, and thus motivate more people to become part of this philosophy, which in addition to caring for all lives, can have a positive effect on your health.

Unlike other vegan chefs, Alejandro Ruiz's cuisine does not seek to emulate the flavors of meat or dairy, but rather seeks to demonstrate how each ingredient, when cooked correctly, can be a complete gastronomic experience and can be enjoyed without compromising the flavor we would like to find with substitutes.

The Chef wants to show you that we can all contribute to animal liberation and have better intentions than our way of eating by trying his exquisite culinary creations.

It is worth noting that their specialty stands out in their re-interpretations of traditional Mexican dishes!

And if you want to make a change, or to know more, the Chef doesn't hold anything back:

You can learn from his great cooking style with delicious recipes at Threshold, his Masterclass cooking project in Organic Way every Sunday.

To give you an idea: The last class was about chiles en nogada and you might be lucky enough to try the last ones left.

This is where cooking becomes an experience beyond the palate and is transformed into pure knowledge.

For a world where we free animals from our plates and cooking is always conscious!
