LOCAL CONNECT #13 The inclusive Vision of MARIAN GARCÉS

With deep roots in San Miguel and having traveled the world, Mariann Garcés has returned to the lands that saw him grow up specifically in the Hotel Mansión del Bosque to give back with a vision in which he can create community in his most recent project, The Pilgrimage.

An event that builds community with all those who are convinced in offering cruelty-free products, infusing this spirit within our City as a viable way of life.

LOCAL CONNECT La Romería MARIAN

Other aspects of the Romería are its guiding principle based on the founder's profuse love for music, which has improved with each edition. In the first editions, there used to be only one DF providing the music for the event, but now its line-up has expanded to such an extent that it can boast of various musical genres such as electronic, jazz, pop and even Son Jarocho.

For this sixth edition, you can boast that the legendary Ali Gua Gua (of Ultrasónicas and formerly Cumbia Queers) will be providing the dance floor with music and will also exclusively premiere a couple of songs from her new album “Menos Pausa” in which she talks about the subject of menopause in a very fun way with touches of punk and post tropical.

In addition to the magic of its music, the Romería has real magic and it is precisely these types of elements that make it positioned as a happening with an esoteric atmosphere where wishes come true. To emphasize the magic of the Romería, on this occasion they will have the transcendental Tarot reading as well as the sale of Magic Stones that will undoubtedly protect you from bad energies and the evil eye, absorbing all of that for you.

Seeing the exponential growth that his project has had has left Mariann full of pride as a trans boy. Being able to offer a safe place for the queer, trans and non-binary community is something that he sees becoming a reality day by day and hopefully in the future, he will continue to strengthen the support that diverse people receive.

In addition to these factors that can be seen in each edition of the project, this occasion will mark a very special edition since the location will be in the spectacular Sustainable Vineyard The Peacock of the Field which will also have a summer atmosphere with a delightful pool with a contemplative view of the Picachos.

So get your best Swimwear, your good attitude and your open mind ready to join Mariann and company at La Romería, which will take place from June 17 to 18 with free admission.
