LET’S MAKE Martini de Olla

LET’S MAKE Martini de Olla

Our friends at Mezcalería Gixi got creative, and this patriotic month they invite us to enjoy a Mexican classic reinterpreted in a different way.

It is none other than the very famous café de olla, whose origins date back to the Viceroyalty period, when it is said that it arrived from Africa through the port of Veracruz and was flavored here with local spices.

It is the Martini de Olla that reinvents the traditional spiked coffee into a sophisticated cocktail infused with flavor and tradition, and here we tell you how to prepare it with mixologist Lupita.

INGREDIENTS:

First, add ice to a container, followed by the ingredients just mentioned, and shake it to serve in the glass.

The result will be a delicious lightly smoky cocktail with dark tones that evoke the depth of coffee, and it is a worthy reinterpretation, accompanied by a cookie filled with goat cheese and cajeta.

Likewise, we invite our readers to try this and other incredible specialty cocktails at the spot, such as “El Negrete,” “La Paloma Viajera,” “Cenit,” and “Morena Mía,” each with a super well-defined personality and look that make this bar located at Cuna de Allende #11 the best place to experience mezcal.

We’ll be waiting for you!
