Hotel of the Month: FIVE QUEENS

What appears to be a colonial mansion, like those you find in abundance in downtown San Miguel, hides a hotel worthy of five queens inside...

Hotel five queens san miguel

Within the walls of this sumptuous residence are 10 spacious rooms with touches such as wooden beams on the ceiling and beautiful warm lighting that evokes the intimacy of home.

A detail that astonishes even architects is that the structure is clad in quarry stone from floor to ceiling, something quite unusual and that gives this very special highlight to our select hotel of the month, as it recalls our rosy and emblematic Parish, thus creating a great synergy with the aesthetic proposal of San Miguel.

Built by architect Pedro Rodríguez Cerroblanco, this sanctuary of hospitality features wide arches framing its central courtyard, which gleams with a magnificent hand-forged chandelier that illuminates all guests and diners who enter this new hospitality experience.

It is worth highlighting the privileged view from its incredible terrace Five Queens It has to be a simple matter of opening your eyes wide to contemplate the magnificent Temple of San Francisco, the Church of El Oratorio or the already mentioned Neo-Gothic Parish, in addition to the incredible sunsets that San Miguel gives us.

It is in this courtyard where paintings inspired by Mexico and its culture, painted by local artists, welcome guests with delicate strokes and vivid colors that portray typical Mexican figures such as La Catrina or our iconic Frida Kahlo.

Although it may not have the same tones as La Casa Azul, we're sure that our obsession with good service and our unique architecture would have served as inspiration for Frida's surrealist pictorial creation.

Another piece of art worth highlighting is the stone sculpture of the Archangel Michael, which stands guard at the foot of the stairs, ensuring the peace of the sanctuary and the tranquility of its visitors.

But not everything is Colonial, but there are also modern touches to bring the Hotel de Abril into the contemporary world, such as the wooden furniture in the rooms, such as the ornate mirrors, bedside tables, and headboards.

And so that weary travelers don't have to leave their room in times of stress, the hotel offers an exclusive room service with massages delivered to the comfort of their bedrooms.

Rustic elegance dominates the hotel, and this can be clarified in each of its decorations, such as a beautiful tree whose foliage, instead of leaves, has been replaced by multicolored glass hearts, thus becoming a beautiful art installation.

But if our praise is not enough, just go to the hotel's social networks and read the comments of satisfaction that former guests have left as a way of thanking them for such a good stay, which we want to replicate with our readers inside and outside of Saint Michael.
