“For us it is hair, for them it is hope” is the motto behind this laudable project dedicated to collecting healthy hair to create wigs for cancer patients who have lost their hair due to the effects of chemotherapy.
Thanks to the fact that 5 years ago the Rotary Club of Saint Michael adopted and adapted this cause from the same club in Monterrey and brought it to our lands, this cause has grown a lot and brought great results for the foundation ALUCCA Located in León Guanajuato, whose purpose is the fight against cancer in children.

We know that it is difficult to part with the knight, but we are not Samsons to be affected so much by this and, more than anything, it is an act of love that will bring a smile to the faces of many affected people.
What is needed for donation, as kindly shared with us by the President of the Rotary SMA Club, José de Anda, is to have clean, dry and virgin hair to donate, 30 centimeters long and 40 centimeters long if it is dyed or layered or bleached in some way.
The reason they ask for this length is because when making wigs, they lose about 2-3 centimeters at the time of making them, so it is better to have a little extra.

Although the last edition was held on January 12 at the Hotel Quinta Loreto and with the participation of several stylists from different beauty salons who came voluntarily, a new home-based modality is now being implemented in which they come to your home to perform the procedure.
We certainly congratulate this praiseworthy work that improves the lives of hundreds of children and we want to make a strong invitation to people to take care of their hair in order to donate it and bring a smile to their faces.
