Having focused on the use of the Artificial intelligence in its theme of last year, this year the Guanajuato International Film Festival It takes a 360-degree turn and changes its guiding axis by focusing on the meaning of being human.
It is not surprising that the theme of the previous edition gave rise to existential questions such as: What makes us truly human in a world inundated by technology?

This reflection and question will be the main theme of the twenty-seventh edition of our beloved and acclaimed film festival. In order to be consistent with the theme, the festival directed by Sarah Hoch, created its advertising posters using analogous and artisanal processes for their creation.
With so many technological tools, the festival did not want to forget what makes us merely human and this is the power to feel emotions and develop art through these mechanisms such as sublimation to create true masterpieces.
It is imagination that gave rise to art and technology and that is why these processes are unavoidably influenced by their human creator.

Human complexity is intricately depicted in the official festival flyer by Analí Jaramillo. The image shows two people with their arms intertwined, their necks hidden by masks in a beautiful shade of blue.
We are still waiting to find out this year's official selection, as well as the winners of the Screenplay Contest and the special guests who will visit the festival venues in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato and Irapuato, bringing all their charisma, talent and humanity to the festival.
