Thanks to the city’s deep-rooted patriotism—and its historic connection to Mexico’s Independence—there is no shortage of spectacular ways to celebrate. With so many tempting options, we’ve taken on the task of compiling some of the best.
Starting with Kali Rooftop, where an evening dedicated to celebrating Mexico through all the senses awaits with “México en la Mesa,” an exclusive Independence Day dinner featuring a three-course menu. The experience begins with raíces de la milpa: yellow corn mousse accompanied by huitlacoche, followed by lasagna nogada, and finishing with a capirotada crumble served with lavender ice cream.
The evening will also feature a mixology experience centered around Mexican spirits, including national gin, tequila, and mezcal, paired with six additional flavors—such as grapefruit and horchata—with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. The pre-sale price is $3,500 MXN per person and includes a special Mexican-themed kit.
B’ani’s Mexican Night will be brought to life with a DJ set, spectacular fireworks, and delicious Mexican antojitos, from 8 PM until 1 AM.
A minimum consumption of $800 MXN per person applies, so come prepared to enjoy a truly spectacular night.
For those looking to celebrate in classic Mexican style, La Posadita, located at Cuna de Allende No. 13, offers traditional Mexican cuisine where the familiar becomes extraordinary.
One of the highlights here is the option of a children’s menu: $450 MXN for little ones ages 3 to 11, and $800 MXN for those between 12 and 17.
For adults, the minimum consumption is $1,200 MXN, with an experience where mariachi and DJs come together to create the perfect soundtrack for the night.
Malasaña brings a special 100% Mexican menu to the table, featuring beloved dishes such as cochinita pibil sopes and quesadillas filled with beef tinga or potato and cheese.
It’s also worth mentioning their signature Chile en Nogada Malasaña, featuring a poblano chile stuffed with a chorizo and caramelized onion sofrito for an especially delicious twist. A minimum consumption of $1,350 MXN applies, with prior reservation required.
At Hortus, whose dedication, attention to detail, and commitment to using the freshest ingredients never cease to impress us, a special Mexican menu will also be available.
The difference here is the price: $900 MXN per person, making it a slightly more affordable option than some of the others, while still delivering all the rich flavors and sazón that make Mexican cuisine so beloved.
Rooftop Fátima Siete offers a delicious and deeply traditional Mexican menu that will have us feeling especially grateful to be in our beloved San Miguel during the country’s patriotic month.
For $2,900 MXN per person, guests can enjoy a dreamy view along with a four-course menu. The first course features corn ribs with roasted potatoes.
For the second course, there are enmoladas de chichilo accompanied by organic chicken carnitas, cream, and fresh cheese. The third course takes center stage with an exquisite low-temperature beef barbacoa cooked with dark beer and served with handmade tortillas, designed to be shared.
The experience is rounded out with a refreshing welcome cocktail, with guests choosing between a classic lime margarita or a hibiscus margarita.
With your best boots as the recommended dress code, Mara promises a night filled with fun. This event is exclusively for guests 18 and over.
Its taco bar, DJ, and karaoke make this one of the celebrations we’re most excited about—a way to experience El Grito that may stray from tradition, but is certainly guaranteed to be a lot of fun.
With a Licorería Limantour takeover at Tonana, we already know the cocktails will be exceptionally good. DJ Castro will be behind the decks, making sure the beat keeps going all night long.
In a particularly creative take on Independence Day, Zibu, located inside Hotel Live Aqua, will celebrate with six food stations, each representing a different region of Mexico: the North, Coastal regions, West, Central Mexico, Bajío, and South.
Mariachi and an open bar will also be part of the experience. Prices are $1,150 MXN for children and $2,450 MXN for adults.
La Noche Mexicana at 3 Marías will feature a special tasting of Tequila Dobel Tahona—because what better way to raise a glass and celebrate together than with a resounding ¡Viva México!
