A DAY WITH DAD. In San Miguel de Allende

What kind of father do you have? One who enjoys and gets excited by strong emotions, such as when he watches sports on television, such as Formula 1 or his favorite Mexican league team. Or maybe your dad is a man who enjoys good conversations and the subtle art of contemplating a painting.

No matter what kind of dad you have, San Miguel de Allende has great options for him to enjoy a day that will live in his memory.

First of all, you have to decide where to stay, and here we have the best options. Apapacho Hotel is a place that, as its name indicates, will not rest until it makes your dad feel comforted, because they put so much effort into each of its details, such as its design and service, that it is as if they were literally embracing your soul.

On the other hand, Dos Casas Hotel is considered one of the best hotels in San Miguel for the amenities it offers. The 18th century mansion has been adapted to house a hotel, a delicious spa and Aperi, which is considered one of the best restaurants in Mexico thanks to its delicate dishes that emphasize the use of local ingredients.

For a delicious breakfast with Dad, there is nothing better than going to Panio and trying any of their freshly baked breads. It is said that in this restaurant/bakery there is not a single corner that does not retain a sweet memory of their sourdough.

Once the basic needs of lodging and food have been met, we can move on to entertainment. For this, we recommend visiting Fábrica La Aurora and its more than 40 galleries, among which stands out Punto Actual, a project whose artistic curatorship always seeks to bring unique works of its kind, making its pieces something memorable.

Continuing with the artistic tour, it is very exotic for visitors to visit the Mask Museum and the impressive collection of this ritualistic object that resides within its walls.

If, on the other hand, your dad is one of those who prefers extreme adventures, there is always the possibility of booking various activities with his hotel, ranging from horseback riding or racers to balloon rides, book with Globo San Miguel.

But this day cannot end without a toast with a good wine in honor of your father, so we highly recommend inviting him to a vineyard among those that stand out, such as Cuna de Tierra, which was the first winery in San Miguel, and Vinícola Toyan within the jaws of the earth.

To close with a flourish, we suggest you choose a rooftop with a view of our sublime Parish like Quince or Atrio, but don't forget to have an Allende beer with your pa' and celebrate that this unrepeatable day has come to an end.
