TEDX San Miguel de Allende

By Pamela Fink

Imagine the world as a plastic ball that is submerged under high pressure in a pool for a long time. As soon as the force exerted by the drowning force on the world is released for a second, it will be expelled from the liquid at full speed into the atmosphere, regaining its natural, graceful state of freedom but with a force and impact that it did not have before.

This analogy serves to compare how the world “stopped” during the pandemic period where for a prolonged period of time, we could not leave our homes, gather at concerts or celebrate events with crowds of people such as TED TALKS.

TEDX San Miguel de Allende

But human discourse and freedom of expression cannot be silenced for long and so the famous talk show platform returns to our beloved San Miguel de Allende, this time with the appropriate theme “Reemerger.”

Re-emerging from the depths and rebuilding ourselves with the hard lessons of the past is something that is a constant in Klaudia Oliver's life. After having brought TED together with an excellent team for the first time in Mexico, she now takes new impulses to retake one of the most beloved platforms of the audience.

CDMX, Valle de Bravo, San Miguel and Oaxaca are just some of the cities in Mexico where the TED team has offered its talks and where they have found fascinating local voices with global stories that have brought about change in our country.

Bringing together this community for Klaudia and the curation of its speakers is one of the driving forces that make this volunteer-based event possible. Everyone who is part of the platform nurtures it and in return it does the same for the audience, thus becoming a cycle of creative vitality.

On this occasion, 12 speakers will be part of the speakers in a roster of diverse talent:

Andrei Posse will be present with the speakers talking about the enormous power that the law of attraction has to proclaim what we want in our lives and about how “your life depends on your thoughts.” It is not possible to attract the people and things we want if the previous guest still occupies a place in our life. We must remove what is not aligned with our vibration and with what we desire.

Have you ever wondered where your food comes from? Alex Karzag has done so and will help you raise awareness about the story behind the food we bring to our table and bring transparency to the global agricultural system.

Even these talks offer us the opportunity to learn about the vision behind generating Artificial Intelligence and how these machines are able to operate and think? for themselves thanks to brilliant minds like From Kai whose work has contributed to Google AI, Yahoo and Microsoft Translate.

One of the most interesting topics is the support that Franziska Freitag – founder of Women on a Mission – builds and advises businesses of all kinds. Business Constellations is the name of the technique that she applies to resolve these situations using a configuration similar to that of Family Constellations where, through symbols as objects, she seeks to put the individuality of a mind into multiple perspectives and position it in place of more players in the business game.

But don't think that each speaker comes to San Miguel and gives whatever speech they want; not at all. To carry out an impeccable and memorable presentation, each speaker receives coaching and advice from Brigham Golden Ask, Valencia Selestin and the co-producer of TEDX, the outstanding Romina Biamino, known for her work at the Wanderlust festival.

For Klaudia, the important thing about the new TEDX scheduled to be held tomorrow at La Casona Convention Center is not an event that turns out “perfect” but rather a creative act that opens the door to the immersion of all the ideas, community and inspiration that had been stagnant in recent years, with special gratitude to the location as well as to Panio for being one of the sponsors of such an important movement.

Something like a Trojan Horse, except that instead of containing fierce Greek soldiers intent on burning a beautiful city to ashes, the passengers on the wooden horse are Speakers and the ashes of Saint Michael regenerate and rise again like the Phoenix.
