SAN MIGUEL FROM THE HEIGHTS: Meet a slackline master

Have you ever imagined what the city looks like from the top of the parish church of San Miguel Arcángel? A view to remember, surely, and one that very few can experience. One of them is Adair Sanchez, a professional slackline athlete originally from the state of Hidalgo and now living in San Miguel for 2 years.

“What is slackline?”, you might ask.

This discipline, known in Spanish as “taut rope”, is considered a sport whose objective is to maintain balance while walking along a rope or metal cable, generally at different heights above the ground. There are several modalities depending on what is done during the walk or the height at which the rope is placed.

For Adair, slacklining is more than a hobby, it has been his profession for 12 years and practically his lifestyle. So much so that he has been present in two world championships representing Mexico, and now in San Miguel he has participated in various festivals and events demonstrating his passion and concentration for this sport that can be considered extreme or high risk.

In this profile that we prepared you will be able to learn more about him and what it means to dedicate yourself to this discipline in a professional manner. Thanks to
Pink House Hotel for his hospitality and facilities. And if you want to see Adair's talent and skill with your own eyes, you can find him at Quince Rooftop, a must in San Miguel.
