You don't need a voice to hear EEESMA's message loud and clear

The school of Special Education in San Miguel de Allende known in abbreviation as EEESMA has been working for a decade to give a voice to young people with hearing disabilities, ensuring that they achieve their full potential by completing their studies.

A series of teachers and volunteers trained in sign language are the ones who teach the attentive students and provide them with the necessary tools for the outside world where success stories are increasing thanks to institutions like these.

Education levels ranging from preschool to high school online in the mornings and artistic and vocational training workshops are the perfect balance so that students can receive education while also receiving professional training.

The workshops include carpentry, dressmaking, jewelry and art, generating young experts in their fields with high levels of creativity.

The aim is also to have original activities so that students can learn more about the cultures of other countries. Currently, guests from different parts of the world tell students about their places of origin, with the trigger for this conversation being the preparation of a typical dish from the country, having already visited: Germany, the United States, Belgium and Italy.

Despite the positive aspects of the previous lines, they are constantly searching for funding to maintain the educational program and improve their living conditions and quality of life. They are currently collecting funds to purchase a van that will serve as school transportation as well as to go on excursions to enriching places.

This is why we at Local Guide have joined together in solidarity and to spread the word about the Christmas sale that will take place tomorrow at Umarán #107 in the downtown area from 10 am to 2 pm, where the listening community will be able to purchase the pieces that the students have created by hand in their respective workshops.

It's time to show our Christmas spirit and support the community by communicating through the universal message of love: actions.
