Year after year, we celebrate the occasion when 3 wise men went to visit the manger where Jesus was born, bringing meaningful gifts with them; a tradition that the Mexicans adopted, turning the Three Wise Men into a sort of figure similar to Santa Claus (except that they give more gifts and do not leave coal) in which children write their annual letter asking for 3 toys.

Likewise, in San Miguel we celebrate the pilgrimage of these men guided by the star of Bethlehem to their final destination with various activities commemorating one of the most famous visits in the world.
It all began with the caravan of taxi drivers whose route started from the exit of Celaya Asia passing through Calzada de la Luz and de la Aurora to end in the San Luis Rey neighborhood, which will give rise the next day (January 5) to the traditional sale of handmade toys near the market for the 6th, giving rise to the caravan of Kings organized by the municipality as well as the traditional parade of the Oratory.

It is worth highlighting the celebration that will take place in the Chapel of the 3 Wise Men with a novena every day at 7 pm until January 5. At the same venue, on Thursday, January 5, a raffle will be held in the chapel's atrium. On Friday, January 6, Holy Mass will be celebrated by Father Pablo Figuero to proceed to sing "Las Mañanitas" by the beautiful voices of La Estudiantina.
Likewise, we remind that at 5pm the people of San Miguel will be able to bring the water in containers that they want to be blessed in the Lauretano Garden in the already traditional “Agua de los Reyes”.

At the same time, fun and cultural activities will take place, such as a race and a ballet performance, to prepare everything for the main event: The Arrival of the Caravan of Allegorical Floats in the company of the Three Wise Men, with whom you will adore Baby Jesus, to close with a symbolic act in which toys and Christmas gifts will be given to the public who enjoys this day the most... the children!
