In San Miguel we learn that family doesn't always arrive as we imagine it… sometimes it arrives in four legs, with a noble gaze and a silent presence that changes everything.

This week Kaia, the companion of a strong, independent, and deeply loving woman for 15 years, passed away. To many, she might seem like "just a pet," but those who have loved like this know the truth: dogs don't take up space in the house, they take up space in the soul.

In a city like ours—where many are experiencing new phases of life, where there are single homes, long silences, and personal rebuilding—they become roots, routine, companionship, and an emotional home. They don't fill voids; they create presence.

And today, another story unfolds in silence. Pablo, after 10 years with Fernando, will rest. Another farewell, another invisible bond that leaves a deep mark… but also eternal love.

Because in San Miguel, Among human stories, there are also stories of silent love — those that don't speak, but say everything.

To Kaia.
To Pablo.
And to all the hearts that have found a home in a dog.

If you have a dog today, hug it. They're on loan.
