Julia and Renata's Albergue Transitorio Returns to San Miguel

Under the premise of showcasing creators and collaborative projects made in Mexico, Albergue Transitorio, by Mexican designers Julia and Renata, returns to San Miguel.

After a two-year hiatus, the fourth edition of Albergue Transitorio returns to San Miguel from July 2nd to 12th at Casa Olivos (Correo #30), hosted by the  Levain & Co family.

With a carefully curated selection of the most compelling independent Mexican artists and cult names in contemporary Mexican design and art, they will kick off their 2026 edition.

To celebrate the occasion, catering will be provided by  Hortus, who will bring exquisite oysters to the table, along with a tasting of  Casa Dragones tequila paired with pieces celebrating masculinity by Carlos Rodríguez.

This year, the designers have decided to bring more than 50 projects from across Mexico, including pieces by experimental ceramicist Marisol Monroy, who also runs  Casa Taller in Mexico City.

The diverse horizon that Albergue Transitorio seeks to build grows with each edition, as the designers now have a greater openness to various collaborations and maintain a pace that reflects their profound intuition as a discipline.

The pieces exhibited here are interconnected by their message of community, memory, and future, aiming to continue building connections through Mexican fashion and supporting its growth.

This vision is reflected in the roster of artists they will bring to San Miguel, such as the hand-knitted pieces from the brand  Fábrica de Punto, which has just launched a beautiful collection representing the Mexican National Team's World Cup jerseys. These pieces will add style and personality to anyone who wears them to World Cup watch parties.

Similarly, the designers will launch a capsule collection of their own design, created and inspired specifically by San Miguel. Therefore, all fashion lovers who want to add a unique touch to their looks will be delighted to have locally made garments that represent us.

Julia and Renata's clothing is designed to be worn on all kinds of occasions, from grabbing a coffee and a croissant at  Panio to enjoying a refreshing cocktail at the Hortus bar.

Albergue Transitorio will return to our city thanks to the initiative of  Sandra Vázquez of Levain and Co., whose unwavering commitment to promoting art and fashion in San Miguel de Allende has earned her four editions of this growing initiative.
