Hotel of the Month: PUEBLO BONITO

At last, Resort Pueblo Bonito has arrived in the lands of San Miguel from its origins in Mazatlán, and we couldn’t be more excited about this kind of format, which not only makes trips for large groups like families or work teams much more enjoyable, but also immediately meets the needs of each of its members, which is why we chose it as the Hotel of the Month.

Alexis Torres kindly gave us a tour of the 111-room Vantage Pueblo Bonito complex; the majority of the units are standard rooms, though the selection also includes exclusive Wellness rooms and pet-friendly accommodations.

We can speak to the latter from personal experience, as we had the opportunity to stay there with Mango—our beloved pug—who enjoyed the visit just as much as we did. It was an experience that confirmed that four-legged family members are truly welcome and pampered here.

The signature amenities of all-inclusive resorts are also found at Vantage Pueblo Bonito, starting with a spectacular pool accompanied by a tapas restaurant—ideal for enjoying a relaxing afternoon. The complex also features conference rooms and a fully equipped gym designed to satisfy even the most discerning guests.

Another highlight was the variety of culinary experiences offered by Vantage Pueblo Bonito, featuring six venues to enjoy throughout the day. Casa Bistro offers a relaxed setting for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, boasting spectacular views of San Miguel de Allende and a pet-friendly atmosphere. Meanwhile, LaFrida invites guests to discover the richness of Mexican cuisine in a more sophisticated setting; notably, however, pets are not permitted in this restaurant.

The selection is rounded out by El Corazón, ideal for enjoying a coffee, a pastry, or a light bite; Tapas Pool & Lounge, perfect for an afternoon by the pool; V Rooftop Bar, where cocktails and tapas can be enjoyed alongside panoramic views of San Miguel de Allende; and a cozy Lobby Bar for unwinding at the end of the day.

But if there was one thing that truly surprised us, it was Aromatika Spa & Wellness—a space dedicated to well-being that offers an extraordinary menu of treatments and experiences to pamper both body and mind, catering to hotel guests and San Miguel de Allende residents alike.

Standout offerings include the Otomi Healing Ritual—inspired by the region's ancestral traditions—and the Aromatika massage, an experience designed to induce deep relaxation through aromas and specialized techniques. The menu also features facials, sound healing experiences, options for expectant mothers, and vinotherapy treatments.

And here’s one of our favorite touches: dogs have their own spa menu, too! It’s an offering we loved—one that shows that at Vantage Pueblo Bonito, wellness extends to our four-legged companions as well.
