A few days ago, Mango already my We were invited to visit this fantastic space that opened its doors during the height of the pandemic. With a super location in San Francisco 34, Center, just two blocks from the Parish, we arrived excited because there are more and more pet-friendly hotels and restaurants in the city.Â
Upon arrival, you are greeted by a whiskey bar that can be seen from the street. This cozy space is ideal for waiting with a drink while they give you your room or simply having a drink before going out for a walk; you can even rent it for a private event, it is quite versatile. As you enter the hotel, it is impossible not to look at the enormous sculpture that sits in the center by the Mexican artist Alejandro Sosa, surrounded by others along the hallways that give you that vibe of a good boutique hotel. With its 23 rooms and 5 categories: superior, double, deluxe, master with tub and master terrace, Hotel Madi, which means Love in Otomi, offers the comforts and amenities that even the most demanding traveler needs.Â
Once we walked around the hotel a bit, we reached the rooftop, our favorite spots! And this will surely become one we visit frequently. The rooftop is framed by an elongated pool, just the right size to cool off in the afternoons, with a small bar at the back so that the refreshment is even greater. And the best part is that you can buy a day pass to use the pool and spend a pleasant afternoon on this new rooftop in the city. Oh, and of course, you couldn't miss the view of the Parish, which always looks great in photos.
To one side is the lounge area where you can have a perfect breakfast while soaking up the first rays of sunshine, or start pre-drinking in the late afternoon. Its cuisine is international, so you can order hotcakes or chilaquiles with eggs in the morning; we tried the chilaquiles divorciados and highly recommend it.Â
What else can we say about Hotel Madi? It has a spa service, so there is no excuse not to de-stress and renew yourself during your stay. Or even if you are not staying, you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner in its bistro restaurant or go to its bar to discover its house cocktails. And other details worth mentioning: it has an elevator, unlike other buildings that do not have one because they are older; and all children are welcome, so it is a versatile hotel for the business traveler or the family on vacation.Â
Mango and I were very pleased (and full after those chilaquiles), thinking that we will return now for a cocktail. Many thanks to Madi Hotel and Mar Gallardo for the invitation and here is her little star of pet-friendly places, super approved by Mango.Â
