This important project will have two options: the hospital-based program, which is for patients at the end of life due to a diagnosis or condition related to their age. Patients are monitored for symptoms such as severe pain, loss of appetite, nausea, or insomnia. All of these symptoms are managed with a medical team and personalized nutrition plans. Three meals, either solid, soft, or liquid, are provided to the patient and a companion who can stay overnight.

Hospital patient facilities include a private room, a hospital bed, necessary medical equipment, a private bathroom, and 24-hour nursing care. Rooms have TV and internet access, air conditioning, and access to a private terrace and garden, as well as recreational activities and a non-denominational chapel.

The second modality is home service, which includes a medical visit of $1,900. It includes a doctor's visit to physically examine the patient and their symptoms, and a plan is drawn up to determine the frequency of care needed by the nursing, thanatology, and social services departments. Nursing guidance is provided on providing food, medication, and hygiene to ensure a better environment. Thanatology provides emotional support before, during, and after the patient's death.

A socioeconomic study is carried out by social work to assess contributions to the AC. Constant monitoring is then carried out, and the schedule is adjusted based on symptoms. Medication is not included, but we also have access to controlled medications. 2016 and a large population of Saint Michael He decides on this option to be in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family and personal belongings.

Finally, this association, which will radically change awareness of palliative care, also offers the new Sharron Kent Education Program, which will provide training in palliative and end-of-life care for social workers, healthcare professionals, caregivers, and community members, all within the facilities of this beautiful and much-needed center. This program will undoubtedly improve the quality of life for everyone in San Miguel and will soon be replicated in other important locations throughout Mexico.
