Did you know that San Miguel has many great food options that are not necessarily in the city center? Of course, after a walk through the main streets of the city, it is natural to look for a table in one of the many restaurants and terraces in the tourist epicenter, but today we are going to tell you about other alternatives in case hunger or cravings get the better of you when you enter or leave the city, or even if you live here but want to 'change your surroundings' and discover new flavors outdoors.
These restaurant options are characterized by having impeccable service, of course a menu with incredible dishes and a very nice space that we personally like for having after-dinner conversations and everything, surrounded by nature and with an enviable view.

What comes to mind when you read 'smoke house'? Surely fine cuts, lots of them, beer, a good wine, the countryside and lots of seasoning, right? Well, that and more is what awaits you here. In this restaurant specializing in meat and wine, you can taste dishes with carefully created pairings to highlight the flavors and your experience. Every day is different and memorable when enjoyed with a good wine, and the selection they have here will meet even your most demanding expectations. Whether you come with family, friends or as a couple (it's very romantic, too), you'll have a spectacular afternoon. By the way, on THURSDAYS they have 2×1 on national beer and margaritas, just saying! And every Friday starting April 9th, local heroes The Rabeats will be playing from 7 to 9 pm, not to be missed.

The fresher and more local, the tastier. That is the unofficial motto of this country bistro, which strives to create a very attractive menu with ingredients produced in the SMA region and throughout the state each season. The space is a large patio connected to a huge garden that you can walk around to stretch your legs after the feast. What can you order here? From a Wagyu beef Milanese tostadas to lion's claw toast with chili, and not to mention something sweet like French toast, and to accompany it, some craft beer that will give you the urge to order one of their different cocktails like the mezcal and mango one. In addition, they constantly have live music like jazz, rock and more that will make you have an even better time.

Mama Mia Countryside

Continuing with the country concept, this Italian restaurant is known for preparing its signature dishes over a wood fire, in other words, just as it should be. Imagine eating an exquisite buranta salad followed by your favorite pizza, surrounded by trees whose shade refreshes you and makes you feel super comfortable. Here you eat as if you were in the Italian province, so you have to ask for the wine list to crown the experience. Another thing we love about this restaurant is that it has a very cute kiosk that you reach by crossing a bridge, as it is located on a small lake. You don't know what a spectacle it is to see the sunset from here! And what do you think? It's pet-friendly!

This restaurant is part of a fantastic country hotel with lots of charm. Whether you stay here or just come for brunch or lunch, it is a heavenly space that has a view of a lake and also has activities such as horseback riding. What can you try here? Their menu is very extensive and you can find cuts of beef and Mediterranean dishes. It is a must to take a look at their wine list, and also try their carajillo. For the most gluttonous, you cannot leave without ordering an ice cream, what a way to end the experience!

Also on the way to Dolores Hidalgo is this bistro where, in addition to having a delicious breakfast and lunch, you can do your grocery shopping with regional and organic products. Our favorite here is breakfast, especially sweets like an infallible French toast with berries and French chocolate. And for lunch, tomato soup followed by grilled cheese or the classic club sandwich that will leave you more than satisfied. Try to get up early to get a table and enjoy the morning, because there is a lot to see and do in the surrounding area as well. Oh, and if you need to do your shopping without leaving home, you can also call them to bring you what you need, quite an experience!
