After an unexpected 2020, which altered the plans and lifestyles of many of us, it is natural that this year is leading us to take up what we can and reinvent ourselves to adapt to the new context. It will be a 2021 in which we will continue to learn about ourselves and those around us, to (re)cognize our essence and to continue on our path.
If the concepts of well-being and self-care have been in trend for the past few years, 2021 marks the beginning of community care, driven especially by the youngest, who are pointing out the flaws of a system that already feels outdated and in need of improvement. How? Stating that, while it is always good to think about one's own well-being, we must also begin to think collectively, because in the end one's decision can affect others. This is reflected in the adoption of more conscious eating habits such as vegetarianism and veganism, in reducing waste, betting on renewable energy and many other practices that can be implemented in everyday life and that, little or much, contribute to change.
Also, travel restrictions have made us look at our wonderful national and regional destinations and appreciate them even more. Getaways to nature have become a good break from the home office or simply from confinement for those who have continued without going out as before. And what better way to take advantage of nature than to reconnect on a physical and spiritual level? Holistic retreats and rituals have become an important part of these wellness experiences and in San Miguel there are several people and spaces with whom you can do them both individually or in a group with family or friends, talking about community care. Here we tell you about some of them.
Sagrada Ranch

A unique place in the middle of the mountains north of the city. This retreat center has everything you need for a weekend (or why not, several days) of de-stressing and true connection with nature. In addition to being an earthly paradise, it has several activities to complement your experience: healing massages, yoga classes, organic and vegan food in its Dimitria dining room, rooms with balconies overlooking incredible landscapes and even private outdoor showers.
