And when you read the rest of our story, you will see that we are not exaggerating and that it truly is the boutique hotel in Saint Michael where you will want to stay.
The first thing that catches your eye when you cross the threshold that welcomes you into the Casa is its frame of snowy little flowers that serve to transport you to the magical microcosm that the comfort of your stay will surely have.

Stone arches frame your journey through House 63 And as soon as we arrived, after staying in the comfort of a room on the first floor, we continued with the tour where we arrived at the historic section of the hotel where if you look down you can see a glass floor where, looking deeper, you can see the “ruins” or vestiges of what was once a tunnel that connected to the Temple of the Nuns.
It is said that this underground shortcut was used to transport precious stones and gold, so my mind immediately fantasized about finding gold nuggets and I could feel the euphoria of what was once such an ingenious shortcut that surely holds many stories and treasures inside.

Similarly, there was a small washhouse around the 18th century that was exactly like those of Bajada del Chorro and that were built by Don Manuel de La Canal to make San Miguel a place of progress and hygiene.
Continuing with the tour, we headed underground on what seemed like simple stairs that would lead to the basement, but what a surprise we had when we found out that it was a Speakeasy that led to the Kali bar in a dimly lit but seductive environment and whose wine and drinks cellar invited hours of relaxation.

Using great willpower, we left that cozy bar to go up to the third floor where we discovered my favorite spot: Kali's Restaurant, which has a beautiful view of the pinkish Parish as well as the domes of San Miguel that threaten to tear the sky.
Something that seemed like a great detail to us was that they welcomed us with a welcome cocktail made from hibiscus and that refreshed us and encouraged us to go up to the rooftop to continue contemplating those spectacular views, which will probably start operating in the next few months and is almost certain to be adapted to host a fun event in honor of Mexico's Independence.

After this tour, we went to our room where we already appreciated it in detail and were grateful for the small details such as the soft robes and the beauty kit that awaited us in the bathroom, which with its brick ceiling and curved shape made us feel as if we were inside the underground tunnel that we saw as soon as we arrived and that gave a mystical touch to the experience.
The next morning, we decided to try breakfast and we were delighted by the way Kali prepares chilaquiles with cecina and Thai-ko chicken with blue corn tostadas, house ceviche and habanero oil, making us want to try more of their amazing seasoning, especially with the Tomahawk dishes, the golden ceviche tostadas and the delicious Picaña. A real hit!

Something that exquisitely complemented the experience and made us not leave wanting anything were the treatments offered at the spa with massages such as the holistic one or the typical hot stones or an express one for the rush, without forgetting to mention their facials or their “journeys” as they call them, which refer to their types of treatments focused on the results that the guest wants to receive such as wellness, porcelain skin, comfort or total renewal.
Finally, something that won us over was how divine this hotel is during the day and charming and seductive at night. We found that personalized attention and service will always beat the big resorts because none are as complete or personalized as this one and it is a concept that splendidly benefits San Miguel and envelops it in a more pleasant experience.
