Temporary Shelter, a Refuge of Good Taste in San Miguel

Art is wandering, always on an eternal journey in search of its final home and to find it, it must go through a journey that takes it to unusual spaces, all with the aim of being able to rest and be exhibited in its final resting place.

For this culmination to come to an end from the creative process to its acquisition, it is the acclaimed fashion designers Julia and Renata They have created their temporary shelter project that seeks to promote Mexican art and design with an extensive catalogue.

Albergue Transitorio san miguel

Prototypes of drawings on fabric by Isa Carrillo, photographs of nude women with large birds by Amigo Imaginario, hand-carved pieces with volcanic stone and Gnóo Xombe Nissin fiber by Lordag & Sondag, expressionist ceramics by Renata Morales and fabrics with an intense level of detail by Luis Rentería are some of the pieces that catch our eye.

It is this marketing of Mexican firms of the highest design that knocks on our doors in Saint Michael And this is how they come to our lands to generate a sensation and a fair sale from June 29 to July 14 at the Hotel Casa de los Olivos (Correo no. 30 Col. Centro) of the Levain & Co. family.

And beyond being a point of display and sale, Temporary shelter It comes with a multidisciplinary proposal with different activities on certain days, highlighting strong local projects.

Twelve years after its founding, Albergue Transitorio, now in San Miguel, will present ephemeral events, as they like to call them, promoting artistic inventiveness. Among them, the inauguration stands out, in which the Capsule Collection was presented, which was the result of the collaboration between Eduardo Sarabia and the designers from Guadalajara, enlivened by a cocktail courtesy of Casa Dragones and the water bar La Samaritana.

It is worth mentioning that on Friday, July 5, there will be a DJ Set by DJ Rayo, followed on Saturday by Balcanic Mezze and natural wines made with the heart of the Mexican highlands by Cava Garambullo at 1:30 pm to close the night at 9 pm with a party at Xoler whose musical selection will be in charge of Agustín Solórzano.

On July 12th there will be the presentation of the book “Animas” by Gustavo García-Villa and finally, for the closing ceremony on the 14th, there will be a toast with Negronis and Americanos courtesy of Campari to close with pomp this eclectic edition and fulfill the mission of promoting cultural and creative tourism that the creative duo has so promoted.

Finally, we cannot close this note without congratulating the Levain & Co family for being a tireless Patron for the town of San Miguel in terms of art and culture and supporting this type of projects not only with the location of the event but also by providing the delicious gastronomic goodness of the baking and pastry world of our beloved Panio.
