The spa at Hotel Matilda is one of our favorite places to unwind in the city, and to experience firsthand the new line of skincare that they incorporate into their treatments, they invited us to spend an unparalleled afternoon that, together with their spa experiences, takes relaxation to a new level to offer a reset in every sense. Here we share everything we experienced. 

An unparalleled experience

The experience began with a personal and private session in the steam room, which has a massage bed so you can feel like you are in your own space. Of course, while you are in the steam room, you are offered amenities such as water and ice to refresh you and keep you hydrated. Along with the welcome steam room, the therapist places a menthol bath bomb that immediately penetrates your airways to purify them. After this, you will feel like you have been reborn, and are breathing for the first time, for real. 

After a few minutes, it's time for exfoliation, which is always very necessary and welcome. For this, they leave you with some delicious oils accompanied by some mineral salts that you can't imagine the sensation they cause in your body. You can feel how the dead cells come off to release the naturalness and shine of your skin, and all that energy that is there but is sometimes dulled by stress and routine. You remove all this with a hand shower that, while removing the oil and exfoliant, massages you with the same pressure.

Once you're ready, it's time to move on to facial care, so that all that tension you were carrying around disappears as if by magic, just when you think you couldn't be more relaxed...

We feel super pampered by Hotel and Spa Matilda because we were among the first to try this new treatment on their menu.

It's been a couple of days and I'm still feeling the effects of this session, which definitely helped me regain energy and feel completely at peace.
