Catar.sis, Women and Wine

Life pollutes, purity is lost with age and human cruelty is responsible for introducing us to the cruel reality... Until now!

It is thanks to the process of catharsis that comes from ancient Greece in a ritual that consisted of the purification of the body and soul, that we can re-experience this purity of heart despite life experiences.

Catharsis can be generated from things as simple as a deep conversation accompanied by a good glass of wine, as happened to María Félix Parés who last year attended the march for the first time. #8M in San Miguel and she met a woman who told her about hard experiences from her past but as she shared them, she had a glass of wine and was surrounded by a circle of women which made her feel much better.

This cathartic experience inspired Maria to create “Catharsis"which is an event that will take place on March 7th at 6 pm at the exquisite restaurant"Mia from head to toe” located at Bajada del Chorro #7.

Mia's unique cuisine is due to her attention to detail and her focus on providing personalized and magical experiences, making her diners feel an extraordinary journey from each bite.

Thanks to the vision and creativity of Chef María Rivadeneyra, Mia is famous among lovers of good gastronomy, and her team is made up mostly of women. With the phrase on the menu “when you die you only take with you everything you ate” one can get an idea of how special this place is and how happy the creator of Catarsis is to have such a magical location.

This safe space where women can eat delicious food, create magical bonds and enjoy wine labels created by women, seems like a very peaceful and creative occasion.

The main activity will revolve around conversation and writing carried out by Traspasado's friends who always shine in this department with an incredibly empathetic and sisterly spirit.

In addition, to give a little variety to the wine, there will also be the mezcal brand from Durango called “Novia del Viento” headed by a woman who will gladly talk about all the challenges involved in dedicating oneself to a world that has been “dominated” by men until now.

Likewise, all proceeds will go to the Casa Hogar Santa Julia foundation, whose mission is focused on helping girls and adolescents in vulnerable situations by making this inspiring meeting between women consistent and widespread.
