We close the year 2022, a year full of changes, adaptation and a lot of new music. Now we arrive at 2023 with a lot of motivation, inspiration and desire to be better every day. We are already on the ninth publication of Local Soundtrack, a space in which we recommend local artists who make the “Friendliest City in the World” sound. On this occasion, we present Leo Casta, an actor and musician from San Miguel who is currently working on major television productions at a national level.

His interest in acting began in high school when he did a play, becoming fascinated by the experience of being someone else and feeling things he had never felt before. Acting is about life moments, they are things you don't do in your daily life and when you project them in the theater, on a screen, it is an indescribable experience.
She has been on the scene for 4 years now, and her first appearance on television was during an episode of the series “This Story Sounds Familiar” produced by Televisa.
Leo Casta left San Miguel for Mexico City to try his luck and test his destiny within a major television network with the goal of growing more and not staying in the same place.

«I would tell everyone to knock on whatever doors they have to knock on. If they have to knock on them, knock on them because it is important to fight for your dreams. You have to persevere, continue and work. Nothing comes for free, you have to make an effort.»
Another of Leo's strengths is music and he recently released his first single titled "Volar" with the help of Federico Ayos and Josh Gutiérrez, his music producer Paul Castillo, as well as all his friends.
His first approach to music was in the Public Library, where Don Martín taught him to play the guitar and so he began playing in a rondalla. Over time he took classes with other teachers and at the same time he obtained a lot of knowledge from his father who is also a musician.

Music became a hobby and he started playing guitar alone in his room, at gatherings with his friends. When he moved to Mexico City, a whole new world opened up before his eyes, changing his perspective on music and he learned to play drums, bass and even ukulele.
During his musical history, he came to play in some streets and bars in Mexico City, in the center, Coyoacán, La Condesa, La Roma and for him it has been an interesting experience that has shaped him.
The song “Volar” is on all digital platforms. It talks about a foreign woman he met in San Miguel and who became a very important person in his life. Before he returned to his country, she said goodbye with just a kiss and nothing more. So he promised her that he would make a song that would be played everywhere.

Leo claims to be a musician of a very varied genre, but he leans more towards alternative pop with hints of indie rock and a bit of soul with rap in some songs and covers.
He has been inspired a lot by Pearl Jam, Cardelino, Sticky Fingers, Fito Paes, Charly García, Soda Stereo and Caifanes. He tries to cover as much as possible to reach the public that wants to listen to him one day.
She is currently working on her first album with 15 songs and the music video for “Volar.”
We thank Leo Casta for being part of this series of publications that aim to show off the talent that is and is proudly from San Miguel. To conclude, we wish Leo Casta all the success and that he continues to excel at a national and even international level in the acting and musical fields.
Thank you very much for reading us month after month. Happy 2023!
