Music is an essential element in our daily lives, it brings life and touch to every place and situation. We all have a soundtrack that accompanies us in our daily lives, on the way to work, to exercise, to drive or to create something, that is why we have prepared this section: Local Soundtrack, a space dedicated to bands, trios, duos and soloists from San Miguel de Allende.<\/p>\n

Artists who bring life and fill the streets, terraces and restaurants of the city with magic; with songs that manage to connect with our emotions.<\/p>\n

For this first article we have chosen MTK Rock, a band that carries a message of peace and improvement of the current world through music, with the aim of generating the desire to act from our own trenches.<\/p>\n

The band is made up of \u00c1ngel Cabrera, a drummer who transmits emotions through his instrument, because the drums are a lot of volumes and nuances, increasing and decreasing speeds that resemble how we express our feelings, which can be eroticism, euphoria, fear or joy.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Pixe Rayas is the bassist, a mix of nostalgia, rebellion and darkness. Transmitting a subtle discharge of mystery with explosiveness and joy at the same time. A person full of energy and creativity who spends his time up and down.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Rom\u00e1n Sebasti\u00e1n is the vocalist and guitarist, a person who is learning to listen to the world around him, to realize that each being has many stories to tell and poetry is a perfect medium. In addition, he is the composer of the band and through music he seeks to communicate that everything can change.<\/p>\n

What does MTK Rock sound like?<\/h2>\n

MTK Rock sounds like what is considered \u201cclassics\u201d today: Blues, Soul, Rock & Roll and Jazz\u2026 organic sounds, without so much effect. They are deep, long, strong voices and songs. It is warm music that invites excitement, to fall in love, to dance, to forget a little about the past, the future\u2026 to savor the present with a touch of Jimmy Hendrix, Carlos Santana, BB King with voices inspired by Elvis Presley and James Brown. It transmits an intensity that is sometimes not transmitted out of \u201cshame.\u201d Everything that has to do with what the world believes is making a fool of oneself is what MTK Rock does; it lets emotions and feelings flow and shows the passion for interpreting music for the public.<\/p>\n

Part of its charm is based on improvisation, making a song last indefinitely, because sometimes the moment invites you to go further than you can imagine.<\/p>\n

The group already has a first album called \u201cFuego L\u00edquido\u201d which came out in 2018 with their own compositions, in which they talk about air pollution and water conservation. They are currently producing their second album and several music videos.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to be one of the most listened to bands in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato and Mexico, because we have the opportunity to send our music to the world and we are very happy that this time allows us to do so.\u201d -Rom\u00e1n Sebasti\u00e1n.<\/p>\n

MTK Rock is a band that seeks to immortalize moments of fun, energy, sentimentality, poetry, everything that makes us human. Accompanied by concepts that have to do with the visual and artistic. It is a possibility of taking a photograph of the invisible. Experiences that in the future could be called mythical experiences, and hence the name: MTK Rock (Mitika Rock).<\/p>\n

On March 30th they will perform at Trina Cantina Bar, on Stirling Dikinson Street, they are looking to reach new audiences and continue performing in different places in San Miguel.<\/p>\n
