But without going too far, the people of San Miguel have our own tradition to commemorate the presentation of Jesus in the temple and of course, the Virgin of Candelaria, who after the Virgin of Guadalupe is the Marian figure with the greatest devotion in Mexico. It is said that initially plants and flowers were exchanged in temples and streets, until it became what we know in recent years as the Feria de la Candelaria.
