Although vegetarianism and veganism have become popular in recent years mainly as a trend, today it goes beyond a lifestyle that responds to what we see in the media and social networks, as it involves a higher level of commitment to ethics and personal values, a total awareness of our footprint on the environment and, of course, a health issue that many highlight but that continues to be controversial.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The truth is that our habits and what we consume have to change for the better if we want to continue to inhabit this planet for many more years. And I don't want to sound fatalistic, but climate change is a reality that we cannot ignore. For many people, one of the many paths to follow to counteract or at least stop affecting the planet is precisely to stop consuming animal products and opt for a diet based on plants, grains, vegetables and everything that nature provides us with.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Here in SMA there are already several options for veggie or vegan breakfast, lunch or dinner. Fortunately, the stigma that this food \u201chas no flavor\u201d or that it \u201cdoesn\u2019t fill you up\u201d and other ideas that were discussed in the beginning are gradually being eradicated. Now, there are thousands and thousands of delicious recipes that don\u2019t make you miss meat and its derivatives at all.
