Just 30 minutes from San Miguel, lies the historic and charming town of Soria, part of the municipality of Comonfort. Its history is that of many small towns not only in Guanajuato but throughout Mexico: a Spaniard who came to establish his business on a trade route and, thanks to the prosperity, built more and more to provide shelter for employees and workers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What began as a farm called \u201cEl Molino\u201d was transformed into Soria when weaving machines were installed and the \u201cLa Providencia\u201d blanket factory was founded by Eusebio Gonz\u00e1lez, who together with Don Lucas Alam\u00e1n in Celaya, was founding a new textile center in Soria in the Baj\u00edo. <\/span>Here<\/span><\/a> you can read a little more about its history.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
