This time, together with Mango \u2013my inseparable pug\u2013, we discovered Altar<\/strong>, the new hotspot on the rooftop of The Arca House Hotel<\/a>, just 20-25 steps from the Garden. Conceived as a ritual for the senses, this space is set to become the favourite meeting point for both locals and visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Imagine sipping a good cocktail \u2013 I couldn\u2019t resist trying a Negroni prepared by our friend Aldair Lugo \u2013 while admiring the spectacular view of the Parroquia, San Francisco, the Oratorio\u2026 and the charming little houses that define the soul of the city. Altar is versatile and transforms as the day fades into night, welcoming those of us who seek to enjoy good food, music, mixology and the company of friendly people who form a great community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The creative design pays homage to the mystical essence that gives the place its name, highlighting elements from the region \u2013 such as the cacti that dot the environment \u2013 and features intimate spaces: from a cozy little room perfect for sharing special moments, to comfortable tables and outdoor areas ideal for private events, where you will be the best host thanks to an always smiling team. With a menu curated by Jorge Avenda\u00f1o, which celebrates local ingredients through a fusion of Mexican and European flavors \u2013 by the way, I tried the Marl\u00edn tostada, Gaonera taquito and some cheese flautas that, if you take my word for it, taste delicious when dipped in a rich sauce \u2013 and a bar that offers everything from classic mixology to original creations. Altar is more than just a place, it is an entire experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And best of all: it's pet-friendly. Mango had a great time exploring and sniffing out every nook and cranny, and we assure you that you will too. Altar, where every sunset becomes a ritual, invites you to dream, enjoy and write a new page in the history of San Miguel.
