Subjects include \u201cExperimental Fiction\u201d; \u201cCapturing Culture and Tradition Through Photography\u201d; \u201cHow to Master the Actor \u2013 Narrator Technique\u201d; \u201cTelling Your Story Through Podcasting\u201d; \u201cPainting Against the Grain\u201d; and many others. Presenters include accomplished writers, painters and performing artists.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A daily special event (eg, \u201cThe Deadly Dinner Party: Writing a Murder Mystery 101,\u201d with Andrew Buckley, an internationally active storytelling guru).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A daily main stage presentation by a distinguished speaker (eg, Harrison Ball, former NYC Ballet principal dancer, on the history and cultural impact of dance).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An evening pop-up bar called \u201cSmokey Joe&#039;s Caf\u00e9,\u201d with beverages and live entertainment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Surprise activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/localguide.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Art-of-the-Story-2024-7-1024x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27341\" srcset=\"https:\/\/localguide.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Art-of-the-Story-2024-7-1024x1024.png 1024w, https:\/\/localguide.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Art-of-the-Story-2024-7-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/localguide.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Art-of-the-Story-2024-7-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/localguide.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Art-of-the-Story-2024-7-768x768.png 768w, https:\/\/localguide.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Art-of-the-Story-2024-7.png 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to being immersive and instructive, the festival is geared to be entertaining and fun. The festival organizers have put it this way: \u201cWe believe that art isn&#039;t just something you look at \u2014 it&#039;s something you do. That art isn&#039;t just about creating; \u201cit&#039;s about connecting and expressing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All sessions are designed to be accessible to both beginners and veterans. Participants are encouraged to attend sessions built around an artform new to them.
