Breakfast or lunch is one of the most satisfying and even intimate personal rituals, because it is not only about eating the first meals of the day but also sets the tone for having energy to be able to carry out all the activities of the day. It is also very subjective; there are those who get up between 5 and 7 am to train so they have breakfast according to their diet, or there are those who can and prefer to get up a little later and have a substantial lunch.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a coffee shop and specialty store that selects and brings the beans from different coffee-growing areas throughout Mexico, to roast them in small quantities and serve them directly at their two bars, the one at the <\/span>Hernandez Macias 87<\/a><\/strong> which is the first and foremost for its restaurant service, and that of <\/span>Loreto 48 A<\/a><\/strong>,<\/strong> dedicated only to coffee in its different methods. It is worth visiting with the coffee experience in mind, and if you are not such a fan of this drink, they have delicious options such as chai latte. For lunch, we recommend the 'Cazuela', which is a baked potato, mushroom, cheese and ranch sauce, topped with a fried egg, bacon and roasted tomatoes, how does that sound?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is one of those places where you feel comfortable from the moment you sit down at one of its classic wrought iron garden tables, listening to the water flowing from its fountain. As you can imagine, its specialty is traditional Mexican food, such as scrambled or divorced eggs, chilaquiles with beans, and freshly baked sweet bread. Our recommendation is that you try the chicharr\u00f3n in sauce with beans from the pot, and of course a black coffee and orange juice to refresh yourself.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is another space that we love to visit for its warmth and service. Although the place on Calle de <\/span>Mail 21<\/a><\/strong> Although it's small (which means you'll have to wait a while), their traditional Mexican dishes are a great way to start the day. Recovering a more contemporary style but enhancing the classic flavors of Mexican food (especially pastries), is this paradise for lovers of sweet bread (who are surely 99.9% of Mexicans). In the heart of <\/span>street of Mail 29<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, very very close to the Parroquia, you can try not only their exquisite variety of breads, but also dishes such as chilaquiles with chicken, house-made Cumpanio eggs and a French toast that you won't believe. It is also worth visiting for their special brunch menu, where you can taste some seasonal cocktails and take home a few pieces of bread for the family.<\/span> You can have brunch all day long<\/span><\/p>\n

We all love a nice patio, and this will become one of your favorites. Everything looks succulent, but the recommendation is the famous San Francisco-style avocado toast, the grilled cheese sandwich or some house eggs. Pro tip: the place is pet-friendly, so you can stop by for breakfast after walking your dog. During the week and in the afternoon and evening it is perfect for a few drinks and snacks like any good cantina, but on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 1 pm it has a special breakfast menu that ranges from coffee and bread to a plate of fresh fruit or chilaquiles with eggs and everything else that can't be missed to have a snack.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
