Since the conception and creation of Handshake Bar<\/a> By Erik Van Beek, the Speakeasy located inside a hotel in Colonia Ju\u00e1rez in Mexico City, has not stopped increasing its popularity through word of mouth recommendations and topping the list of the best bars worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the reason for this distinction? One might ask, and the reason for the success of this project lies in its high-end cocktail menu with an incredible presentation that is rare to witness. Thus, the success of the project has extended to reach San Miguel<\/a> Allende with \u201cTunki Rooftop\u201d which is the space curated by the geniuses of Handshake and which is now celebrating its first anniversary.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had the honor of attending this great experience where creative innovations took center stage on the rooftop with views of the city that make up a sensory delight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a special guest, Belmondo Casa de Sierra Nevada welcomed Mother Cocktail Bar, named the #37 best bar in North America on the coveted 50 Best list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tranquility prevailed at this event, where all attendees experienced a memorable event. After a welcome speech by the Belmond manager and the secretary of tourism of Guanajuato, the DJ's pleasant music began until dusk came, illuminating the glorious Parish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for cocktails, there was something for everyone, from those with chocolate, green tea and fruit flavours to the most exotic ones with yellow habanero chilli. It should be noted that Handshake's signature drinks tend to be eye-catching, such as a transparent pi\u00f1a colada or the \u201cOnce Upon a Time in Oaxaca\u201d with its impressive pyrotechnic presentation reminiscent of the explosion of an atomic bomb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pairing with Peruvian food was equally outstanding with a fresh Amazonian ceviche with catch of the day, coconut and tiger's milk as well as Peruvian-style chicken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What was previously the terrace of the Belmond presidential suite is now a pleasant open bar for all those who wish to spend a beautiful sunset emphasized by never-before-seen creations from the world of mixology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
