Staying at La Morada feels like I imagine those beloved characters from Isabel Allende's historical novels felt. Strong protagonists with mansions that fit their personalities where the home itself played a vital part in the story.<\/span><\/p>\n

Walls that whisper secrets, spacious patios, numerous arches and very high ceilings are part of this sumptuous complex located in the heart of the Historic Center of San Miguel de Allende, just a few steps from the Garden and the imposing Parish.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Immersing yourself in the tubs and then contemplating the pristine ceiling and forgetting that you live in the overwhelming current era became my favorite activity. My cell phone in airplane mode and my mind in creative mode inspired me to write several eloquent lines. And with the murals that lie in La Morada, it is difficult not to exalt your creative spirit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After a relaxing bath with salts and before saying goodbye to such a pleasant stay, we recommend complementing the wellness experience with a well-deserved wine expedition to the San Lucas Vineyard or what is considered the first winery in San Miguel, Cuna de Tierra, where you will taste the best local wines.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The lines between a mansion, a museum and a hotel are very tenuous and confusing at La Morada, which, through an alliance with the Punto Actual gallery, is constantly seeking to support this juncture between the world of hospitality and contemporary art.<\/span><\/p>\n

This Thursday, an auction will be held with pieces from the aforementioned gallery, where there will be a close bidding process to see who will be the rightful owner of these coveted pieces; and not only that, but at the same time, part of the proceeds will be donated to help the San Miguel de Allende Food Bank.<\/span><\/p>\n

So if the love of art and the intrinsic desire to breathe calm air full of history lives within you, you cannot miss the experience of a peaceful night at La Morada.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
