What defines a neighborhood? Many would think that it could be its gastronomy, the type of architecture it has or the people who live there and their jobs. And while all of that is an important part of the context, for Zara Fernández, the founder of MyStudio San Antonio Art WalkThe pulse and heart of a neighborhood like San Antonio is found in its art and the lives of its artists.
This unique neighborhood is known for being the birthplace of multidisciplinary artists who use houses as workshops, murals as canvases, and everyday life as the subject of photography and painting.

More than 46 artists from this inspiring neighborhood will open the doors of their divine places of inspiration on February 18 and 19 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. so that all visitors can appreciate this eclectic collection of unique pieces in large and small formats.
Since so many sites can be overwhelming, the team at MyStudio has once again taken on the painstaking task of creating a detailed map of each of the galleries, homes and studios that can be visited. 5,000 printed guides have already been distributed throughout hotels, restaurants and galleries in San Miguel as well as at Instituto Allende. Simultaneously, a digital map can be accessed simply by scanning the QR code.
No loss!

And for those with disabilities or who are out of breath or who like to go at a slow pace or who are simply tired of such a long journey, there will be 2 vans available this year that will gladly take you to see each site. The van service can be reserved at the Allende Institute and each of the access bracelets will cost $200 in an effort to make this event more inclusive.
Among the most fun and inspiring happenings, we recommend watching the Live Painting of Catherine Shea while listening to Gypsy Jazz by Eli Doney, you will surely want to get involved in the painting to such catchy rhythms!

Other must-sees include Lon Levin's beautiful use of color with pre-Hispanic themes, Daniela Pruneda's silver and ribbon jewelry, 369 clay studio's clay pottery, Linda Joslin's eloquent pieces, Glen Rogers' enormous and mysterious talent, Lindasy Duval's meditative pieces, and much, much more.
Whether on foot or by vehicle, there is no better plan in San Miguel than getting to know the real world of the artists who make our great little city proud.
