LOCAL CONNECT #29 The New Revolutionary Therapy for Animals in San Miguel

There's an alternative that few people know about, but it's an excellent option for four-legged patients when everything else seems to have failed. Such was the case with our beloved Mango the Local Pug, who's getting on in years and was experiencing problems walking without pain.

That's why her human, Myrna Camacho, resorted to an alternative option, and boy, did it work!

With just a couple of sessions, Mango was already slowly walking again, and thanks to his continuous treatment, you can already hear his little paws making noise through the streets of San Miguel.

The miraculous alternative that Myrna and Mango tried was Hipervet Bajío It is a hyperbaric therapy in which the animal is placed inside the hyperbaric chamber and oxygen is introduced at low pressure into the chamber.

The method is as follows: They raise the atmospheric pressure so that oxygen reaches all the cells of the body and the patient shows a drastic improvement.

It is recommended for small animal patients suffering from pain, inflammation, wounds, bacteria, or neurological problems. Because it is a non-invasive and painless therapy, the animals are very calm inside the chamber, and the session lasts approximately between one and a half and two hours.

Other success stories shared by the project's founder, Daniel Medina, include that of Pumba, a Pomeranian puppy whose brain had been deprived of oxygen after a complicated surgery, leaving him only able to spin around. Thanks to Hipervet, he was able to run again within eight days and was saved from being given a terminal diagnosis.

Among the benefits of Hipervet Bajío is that it is a home service so your pet, like cats, doesn't have to stress about being transported to the veterinary clinic but receives treatment directly outside your home.

Furthermore, the cost compared to humans is 5 times lower, making it an excellent complementary therapy to the veterinary treatment of our furry companions.

Similarly, there are only 12 hyperbaric chambers in Mexico, making them very new and already revolutionizing alternative veterinary therapies. San Miguel and saving the lives of the beings we love most.
