Talking to someone with the mental clarity and powerful initiative that Tina Bueche Having it is not something that happens every day, so when we chose it to be our cover of the month we couldn't have been more excited.
After her first encounter with San Miguel in the 60s, Tina, who returned to the city in 2010, was embraced by all our warmth and artistic inclinations in such a strong way that it became her permanent residence, and although at first she dedicated herself to learning and training, that soon ceased to be enough for her.

She lives an intense life in San Miguel, and has found the opportunity to give back to the city that has helped her grow with beautiful initiatives from the recent Festival of the Living and the Dead It still has a tireless exchange to offer to our lands.
For Tina, this festival, named out of respect for the traditions of our ancestors but with an emphasis on the living, could not happen without integrating the traditions of yesteryear with the modern days we live in, so that we can improve the future of our children and the country in a union with new and innovative ideas on how to improve the past.

Based in Juárez Park and celebrating its first decade, the festival took place amidst much laughter, whispers and excitement from both locals and visitors with activities such as "The Hour of Frights: Ghost Stories and Spectres".
Similarly, the puppet show “Bones, Skeletons and Skulls” and its talent contest were a sensation in the town during this spooky season.
Now focused on another of their most important projects, and presented by Art of the Story, “Spark” will be an event from November 11 to 13 inside La Casona located at Josefina Orozco #2.

This project, which blurs the lines between galleries, playrooms, carnivals, and art fairs, seeks to spark interest in all who visit through varied visual stimulation, allowing people to experience new forms of art never before encountered firsthand.
Perhaps an assistant will discover things that are not for him, or perhaps the spark will ignite that generates the combustion for the flame of a new passion.
It's about trying new things or trying old things but in a different way to discover what suits you and be able to mix it with your already "defined" personality that is always growing.

While the days of the event will be dedicated to artistic creation and generation, at night the venue will transform into Smokey Joe's, a much more relaxed atmosphere with live music, storytelling in Spanish and English, and an Open Mic to declaim that poetry that devours our insides.
